I had the pleasure of taking ukulele lessons from Arkadi for about nine months a few years ago. We had group lessons for nine people, all with different skill levels. Arkadi was wonderful. He has a lovely way of explaining things and did a fabulous job of managing to keep everyone engaged despite the disparity in skill levels. He is extremely patient and an excellent teacher. I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Arkadi for anyone that wants to learn to play music or further their skills. I didn’t know how to play Ukulele or any instruments. I can play various songs and have more confidence. Arkadi is an excellent music teacher all around. He made learning easy, fun and informative.

In short, I highly recommend the Sunflower Music School. I had the pleasure of being part of a group of friends that took ukulele lessons from Arkadi. I found him fun and inspiring. I looked forward to each lesson. Arkadi accommodated our various knowledge and experience levels and worked to make us feel comfortable and encouraged. I went from almost zero knowledge of the instrument to being able to feel comfortable playing a number of pieces in just a few months. He also shared his strong knowledge of music theory to explain how to approach songs from different genres of music and/or different techniques (e.g. strumming patterns, reading music tabs, etc.) Arkadi even lead us in a beachside concert and sing-a-long as our public debut.

Arkadi Futerman is a fantastic and engaging music teacher. I was very fortunate to take group lessons for ukulele with him and can’t say enough about his musical talent, his patience as a teacher, and his enthusiasm for music and teaching. I highly recommend Arkadi and Sunflower Music School- you will not be disappointed!
